Document Preparation
The ugliest part of every scanning and imaging job is the preparation before scanning and the re-creation of the document and file for repackaging. Binders have to be undone, staples removed, post it notes peeled and put on their own page, pages repaired, and oversized documents separated. There may be barcode cover pages added to help match data bases or make the indexing process easier.
Post scanning also creates a lot of work. Recreating each set of documents or files is tedious and time consuming. Everything that was undone for scanning must be redone for packing and the return to storage.
